ICORD: Background
The International Conference on OR for Development (ICORD) aims to bring together researchers from around the world to present and discuss models and methods to overcome issues faced by developing countries. Eleven ICORDs have taken place since 1992 in countries across Asia, South America, Africa and Europe (http://ifors.org/icord-history/) with the latest one held in México City in 2016. In 2017, the ICORD will be held immediately prior to the IFORS Triennial conference in Quebec. In the past seven years as in this year, the EURO Working Group on OR for Development (EWG ORD) has been a co-organizer of the ICORD.
