Hospitality Assistant (ECSCT-13)

Type: Professional Support | Department: Estates and Commercial Services | Location: Stoke campus | Closing Date: 24 Jul 2016 | Staffordshire University has recently introduced a new operating model for the delivery of our catering services, and we are currently recruiting a number Hospitality Assistants to support the delivery of the new service. We have a number of posts available in varying locations as follows: Lichfield Campus: 1. 37-hour post working over 36 weeks of the year (Mon – 8.30 – 16.30) (Tue, Wed, Thur 10.30 – 19.30) (Fri 11.00 – 15.30) 2. 25 hour post working over 52 weeks of the year (8.30 – 13.30 Term) (9.30 – 14.30 Non Term) Stafford Campus (Blackheath Lane): 25 hour post working over 36 weeks of the year (Week 1 & 2 9.00 – 14.00, Week3 13.30 – 18.30, Week 4 9.30 – 15.30) Stoke Campus: Various hours and shift patterns available working between 7.30am and 7.30pm on either a 36-week or 52-week contract. Post-holders will provide a high-quality front of house service to our students, staff and visitors. Successful candidates will have excellent customer skills with experience of working in a customer service environment, and preferably within a hospitality environment, although this is not essential. Candidates will have good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Knowledge of basic Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Procedures would be an advantage.
