Category: Professional/Management | Faculty: Recruitment, Admissions & International Development | Department: Recruitment, Admissions & International Development | Closing Date: 29 Aug 2016 | The UK Student Recruitment & Outreach Office is an ambitious and developing team who support the University’s strategic objectives relating to student recruitment and widening participation.  The department is responsible for delivery of recruitment and outreach-related activities within the UK.  The post holder for this exciting role will be responsible for developing and delivering high quality activities that attract students to Lancaster through the provision of information, advice and guidance at schools, colleges and recruitment events across the UK.  The successful candidate will plan and manage the promotion of the University  in schools and colleges throughout the UK through a series of outreach programmes as well as on campus via summer schools. They will also be involved in on-campus recruitment activity such as open days and campus tours.  In addition, the successful candidate will have lead responsibility within the team for liaison with and the provision of support on outreach activity with academic faculties and departments, ensuring a high level of service is deployed and maintained. A graduate with knowledge of the UCAS process, previous experience of  formulating and delivering outreach, recruitment and marketing strategies and campaigns and managing people, you must be willing to work flexible hours, occasional weekends and spend lengthy periods of time away from home during busy periods. You should be able to work on your own initiative, have excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate confidently, fluently and knowledgeably with students, parents, teachers and University colleagues across all levels of the organisation.
