Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Antimicrobial Resistance in Tuberculosis

Applications are invited for the post of Postdoctoral Research Fellow based in the School of Biosciences and Medicine at the University of Surrey, Guildford campus. This position will be supervised by Dr Suzie Hingley-Wilson and is jointly funded by the MRC and BBSRC. The position is part time (0.6 FTE) and will run for 22 months.

 

This cutting edge project will involve researching the effect of the host-pathogen interaction on antimicrobial resistance in tuberculosis. The position is suitable for someone with a background working with Mycobacterium tuberculosis in Biosafety Level III laboratories and with experience working with key bacteriological methodology and in vitro models of mycobacterial infection. The successful applicant will hold a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline.

The position should ideally start by the 1st November 2016 and the salary range is up to £22,661.
