Applications are invited from excellent candidates with suitable experience and skills for the position of Research Fellow in Inorganic Chemistry with Professor Gill Reid’s group during her term as Head of Chemistry. You will be required to undertake experimental research associated with projects in the Reid Group, primarily in the area of main group/transition metal coordination chemistry and organometallic chemistry, provide guidance to UG and PG research students and contribute to the day-to-day management of the lab. In addition, you will be expected to undertake some teaching in inorganic chemistry. 

You will have a PhD* or equivalent in inorganic coordination chemistry or organometallic chemistry, experience in synthesis of inorganic compounds and the use of inert atmosphere techniques and relevant characterisation techniques. You will also have excellent written and spoken communication skills and organisational skills.

*Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification.  The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD.  Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given
