Academic Services is a relatively new department which aims to provide excellent and expert professional administrative services across a range of activities to enhance the student experience and to support other academic and professional services staff.  The Assistant Director will provide strategic leadership for the governance of quality and standards across the University and with its collaborative partners. Dynamic, engaged, resilient and committed to finding creative solutions while ensuring we maintain our high standards of compliance, the post holder will engage with key stakeholders internally and externally, ensuring that BCU is at the forefront of practice in the HE sector. The Assistant Director will also work with the Director of Academic Services to ensure that the University meets the expectations of its external regulatory framework and ensure the best possible outcome of all external review activity. The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge, skills and experience to influence University strategy and contribute to the long-term direction of the organisation. Applicants will need significant experience in higher education at management level, leading large and complex service operations, with substantial evidence of successfully directing and managing change.
