We are looking to recruit an experienced project manager for a duration of one year to manage the purchase and implementation of a Research Information System for the University. The project will involve co-ordinating the work across central departments and ensuring data integration with key University systems.

The objective of this project, as agreed by the University Management Board, is to implement a user-friendly Research Information System by the end of 2017 which produces reports and enables web population on a range of research activities including: research outputs, grant applications and awards as well as CV activities.  The system will integrate with existing University systems to reduce the number of instances of data entry.  The system will facilitate submission to the next Research Excellence Framework.

The successful applicant will have a experience of leading a large project to successful and timely completion and a full understanding of the project  lifecycle from business process and requirements analysis through to customer acceptance and sign-off.  They will be a successful negotiator who is able to plan strategically and creatively working across departments to meet the project objectives.

Applicants wishing to undertake the role as a secondment will need approval from their line manager.
