Applications are invited for the above post based at the School of Medicine, Education Centre, Queens Medical Centre, University of Nottingham.

The Director of e-learning will lead on the UG e-learning strategy for the School of Medicine. The successful candidate will work closely with the SoM TELiMed team of learning technologists to design and implement an electronic portfolio system for students in all years of the medical course. This will completely replace student logbooks and personal tutor paper based portfolios by 2020.

The Director of e-learning will also be responsible for the virtual learning environment (Moodle) for the medical course, podcasts and all CAL packages used across the course. The Director will work closely with the Director of Clinical Skills to ensure a video collection of all Mandatory Assessment of Competencies and Clinical Skills (MACCS) required by the course is available to students and NHS teaching colleagues via Moodle.

The Director will also assist colleagues in the Assessment Unit during examination diets with the electronic marking of OSCEs and delivery of ROGO based assessments. The successful candidate will also have the skill set and ability to act as a Deputy to the Director of Examinations and Assessments as required.

The role attracts a payment of 5 PAs (an annualised commitment of 20 hours per week is required).

Candidates must be eligible for the GMC Specialist Register/General Practitioner Register or within six months of gaining CCT at time of interview. You will also have experience of undergraduate teaching and assessment.
