This opportunity will sit within the Careers & Employability team in support of an exciting University wide 'Learning Gain' project funded by HEFCE. The successful candidate will operate as an Employment Skills Adviser working directly with a caseload of students who are undertaking the Learning Gain skills assessments. The purpose is to support those students in making sense of the outcomes from their participation in the project, and develop a deeper understanding as to how this can enhance their employment prospects.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, organised and creative person, with an ability to not only offer engaging services for the participating students; but to also support in linking the wider Careers & Employability Services to the learning gain project team. This position plays a critical role in providing a thorough and comprehensive Careers and Employability service to our students on the project whilst also contributing to maintaining and developing relations with key external partners and employers, to inform best practice.

The role will support and work closely with the Careers and Employability Advisers and the wider team, to provide a comprehensive employer engaged support service to Learning Gain Students.

The job is a 0.4 FTE position which could consist of 2 full days a week or adopting a more flexible approach over 3 days a week to accomodate responsibilities.

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2, therefore we can only accept applications from candidates who already have the right to work in UK.
