Your previous experience of working in facilities management will be welcomed in this role where you will become an integral member of the team which plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the facilities management service for the university.

Based at our Falmer site, you will assist the Site Manager in the development and maintenance of support services to site users with a particular emphasis on the highest level of customer service.  Supporting, developing and motivating the caretaking team is an important part of the role, as is the supervision and monitoring of all aspects of managing the site such as health and safety, record keeping, security and cleaning.

To succeed in the role, you will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and an understanding of facilities management issues gained in a multi-site environment.  A team leading qualification or equivalent experience is also required, as is the ability to influence and develop staff to meet objectives and the ability to work on your own initiative.  A Health and Safety qualification is also essential to ensure compliance at all times.

The role requires you to travel regularly and efficiently between sites and to participate in the out of hours call-out scheme.
