Are you an innovative IT Change and Release Manager looking for a new challenge shaping and developing Service Management processes across a global, enterprise environment.

Job Purpose

As part of this transforming organisation, Information Services are seeking to invest in a passionate IT Change and Release Manager who, working alongside the IT Service Management team, will help drive the maturity of Change and Release management processes across a global organisation to ensure continually available and high quality IT services are delivered. 

Job Responsibilities

As a subject matter expert you will take ownership of designing, developing and implementing innovative solutions around change and release management ensuring associated processes are implemented effectively and continuously improved across a large modern infrastructure to enable the successful delivery of stable, secure and reliable IT Services across the University.

Working at a strategic level within the Service Management team you will provide guidance to the wider IT team and University stakeholder community, taking the opportunity to shape and develop change and release management within this global IT Service Delivery team.

Core Skills

Education to degree level or equivalent relevant experience ITIL V3 qualified (including one of the following: release control and validation, service transition or change management) Strong experience and recent knowledge of implementing ITIL processes and methodologies A strong background in service management with proven experience of designing, developing and implementing ITIL change and release Management processes within complex commercial environments Experience of Change and Release with SAAS Providers Experience of chairing Change Advisory Boards A strong working knowledge of service support models / processes and tools Proven experience in building strong relationships across a broad internal stakeholder community and partner organisations to enable the successful delivery of high quality services

Communication

You will be a self-motivated and dynamic individual who is able to challenge and influence others, develop and maintain collaborative working relations across IT and non IT departments Strong ability to communicate and explain complex issues in clear, concise, persuasive language both verbally and in writing Empathetic with the ability to influence others and build lasting relationships
