ServiceNow Acceleration Programme

iSolutions provides IT services at the University of Southampton, and we are looking to employ a highly experienced Project Manager who can help us continue to improve the way we deliver services to staff, students and researchers.

This post is part of a programme team dedicated to the development and rollout across the University of the ServiceNow platform. This is an ambitious programme of work that will engage with all areas of the University and will deliver a broad range of novel solutions and service improvements.

To be successful you will need a high-level of experience managing large complex programmes of work that deliver transformational change to an organisation. 

You will be educated to a high standard (postgraduate level or equivalent) and have a strong desire to deliver quality customer service. You will need excellent organisational skills and experience of managing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation with sometimes competing needs. This is a busy and key role that will support the overall performance of the University.

You will have a highly professional approach, be able to work with senior staff to create governance, drive decision-making, project planning, prioritisation and delivery that supports our strategic direction.  You will demonstrate excellent direct and indirect communication skills appropriate for a wide cross-section of stakeholders.

This isn’t a job for the faint hearted! iSolutions is one of the largest departments within the University’s Professional Services Group and we provide a broad and complex range of ICT services to support our diverse user community of more than 20,000 students and over 5,500 University staff.

You will have a skill level (including experience and other qualifications) equivalent to a post-graduate degree.  A PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent agile or traditional project management qualification is also required.  You will be able to build, manage and motivate project teams in a matrix management environment.  You will be professional, clear-thinking under pressure and have a thorough, diligent approach to project management.

Desirable experience: MSP, Agile, ITIL, knowledge of enterprise-scale service management systems and HE organisations.
