Investing in our future - Exciting new Deputy HR Manager roles in Recruitment and Operations

The University of Bath is celebrating its 50th Anniversary and we are launching a new strategy to build on our great reputation as one of the world's leading universities.

Recruiting, retaining and developing each and every member of our workforce is fundamental to what we do.  To support the new University Strategy, two new roles have been created to drive a new approach to the workforce. Both roles will be part of our HR Recruitment and Operations team which provides a broad range of HR services to the 3000+ staff at the University, and the global workforce from where we draw our talent.

With responsibility for managing the staff and operational service for part of the HR Recruitment and Operations team, both roles will lead the development of high quality HR practice across the University, which embodies the HR values of pace, imagination and customer service.

Deputy HR Manager - Recruitment
This role will focus on the University’s drive to become more international as we start to consider the implications of a post-Brexit world. The role will lead on the development of HR practices in areas such as international recruitment, global mobility and immigration.

Deputy HR Manager – Operations
This role will have a specific specialist focus on the delivery of high quality and efficient HR practice and its continuous improvement. The role will lead on the development of lean but agile HR processes which will enable our customers to deliver their business effectively.

This would be an excellent opportunity for a CIPD qualified HR generalist looking to further their career. You will have some experience of staff management and process development/improvement. In return, the University offers a range of excellent benefits and challenges which will help you develop your career.

For an informal discussion about this role, please contact Sam Burgess or Amy Vallender, HR Operations Manager (hroperationsmanager@bath.ac.uk).
