Description :

Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity within travel health? If so, why not come and talk to us about joining the team here at the Robens Centre?

The Robens Centre for Occupational Health and Safety is an enterprise unit of the University of Surrey and we operate a successful travel medicine and vaccination clinic delivering to members of the general public (for leisure purposes), occupational health (both contracted and private customers) and business clients.

We are looking to grow our team and are keen to hear from experienced travel immunisation nurses who would like to be part of our growing travel clinic and who have the ability to help us meet existing and new customer’s needs and expectations.

The role requires individuals to have drive and enthusiasm and an ability to work autonomously.  Supported and guided by the Clinical Director and operating within clear guidelines and PGDs, you will assess health needs, administer vaccinations and advice.

You will be required to undertake full, evidence-based travel risk assessments and you must be competent to deliver travel vaccinations combined with detailed travel advice.

It is essential that you have existing (or are prepared to acquire) knowledge of occupational vaccinations as the clinic also serves a number of occupational health clients’ e.g. dental staff.

We have recently extended our CQC registration to accommodate clients from age 12 months upwards so experience working with this age range would be an added advantage.

As the department is registered with the Care Quality Commission, the successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

We can offer flexible days and hours of work in return for your skills, knowledge and experience.

If you would like to explore possible options further please contact Sarah Futcher, Clinical Director on s.futcher@surrey.ac.uk

In addition to salary you will receive a generous annual leave entitlement and excellent development opportunities. Benefits package includes generous salary package, award-winning pension scheme, child care assistance and discounted membership to our world-renown Surrey Sports Park.
