Description :

We are seeking to recruit a research fellow to work on a bioelectrochemical system for the reduction of butyric acid to butanol. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, construction and operation of laboratory-scale microbial electrochemical systems, development of new test procedures and processing of data to assess the performance of the process. Excellent practical skills are required, along with an insight into issues of scale-up from proof-of-principle to implementation.

This project is supported by the BBSRC Anaerobic Digestion Network. The position is full time and available for 6 months. 

Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification.  The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD.  Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
