The University of Bath is ranked 12th in the UK in the most recent Research Excellence Framework assessment and has a strong track record of collaborating with external organisations to develop innovative technologies that deliver economic, societal and environmental benefits. We have the opportunity to appoint an outstanding candidate with a high degree of professionalism and a business oriented approach to the Research Impact & Commercialisation Team. The successful candidate will help us to meet our goal of increasing our research funding from industry.

Key to this role is establishing and managing themed business networks of academics and companies as well as identifying and promoting funding opportunities to network members. This will require you to use your research and business expertise to enable our academics to secure non-Research Council funding for their work. Ideally you will have experience of applying to Innovate UK competitions and of forming task-focussed teams, coordinating activity and working with colleagues to tight deadlines.

Key requirements of the role:

To deliver plans to grow the number of industrial collaborations Through business networks, to work with academic staff and facilitate their relationships with industry To enable cross selling of other collaboration approaches Awareness of the issues in the HEI and business landscapes

The post is full time (36.5hours per week, Mon-Fri) and is being offered on a permanent basis.
