The aim of the project is to develop novel microscopy techniques based on Raman spectroscopy combined with holographic optical tweezers for studying bacteria, and interaction between human immune cells.

The candidate must have a first degree in physics or chemistry (or related subjects), PhD in Raman micro-spectroscopy or holographic optical tweezers. Expertise in optical tweezers, spectroscopy instrumentation design and development is essential. Experience in software control of spatial light modulators and Raman spectrometers are desirable.

Key responsibilities of roles:

- design and build an integrated holographic optical tweezers Raman microscope based spatial light modulators.

- use the instrument to demonstrate molecular analysis of human immune cells.
