The Centre for Translation Studies (CTS) in the School of English and Languages is seeking a Teaching Fellow to contribute to the teaching of translation and interpreting between English and Chinese on its postgraduate degree programmes. The successful candidate will also contribute to organising and conducting exams; supervise MA dissertations; and support the administration and management of CTS programmes. The post is available from 1 September 2017. The ideal candidate will have professional experience in translation and interpreting, knowledge of current trends in the field of translation and interpreting, and experience of teaching translation in Higher Education.

The School of English and Languages at Surrey has a strong research and teaching portfolio in Translation Studies, Modern Languages, English Literature, Linguistics, and Intercultural Communication. As a pivotal part of the School, CTS is a well-established specialist Centre dedicated to teaching, scholarship and research in Translation and Interpreting Studies. Since its inception in 1982, the Centre has established an international reputation in the field for both its research and its innovative taught programmes. Our approach combines leading research expertise with professional relevance.
