The University of Surrey is looking to recruit a talented and Procurement Category Manager.

The role is for a highly experienced, qualified and customer orientated Procurement professional who will have responsibility and accountability for spend management supporting several professional services departments where the annual expenditure is over £30m.

The successful candidate will have excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a proven track record in leading complex procurement projects that deliver compliance, managed risk and maximum value for money. The University Procurement Team helps to manage over £100m expenditure annually and strives to be a "trusted advisor" and category management expert across a broad range of spends.

You will be a qualified procurement professional with experience of managing a range of related spend categories. Public sector procurement experience is desirable but not essential.

The Procurement Team have a new 3 year Strategic Plan to deliver best in class procurement. You will be joining at an exciting time of change and opportunity and will be required to contribute immediately.
