Description :

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and adaptable individual, capable and committed to leading projects in the area of digital learning technology, and of supporting staff to deliver an exceptional 21st century educational experience for our students.

The Faculty of Engineering has a thriving portfolio of sector-leading degree programmes, and extensive experience in developing and integrating a wide range of digital and blended approaches into these programmes.  You will play an important part in building on and developing the Faculty’s tactical and strategic aims in this area.

You will work with academic and professional staff to develop and enhance learning and assessment resources, advising on opportunities for innovative approaches to blended and digital learning, and promoting and sharing excellence in line with the Faculty’s blended learning strategy. You will provide technical support and training to colleagues in order to enhance the use of the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), and other digital learning technologies.

You will take a multidisciplinary approach and work across the Engineering and Science disciplines, and will have strong expertise and experience in digital technologies and their use and development in an educational setting.  You will possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.

If you are appointed at grade 6, this will be regarded as a training grade, and you will have a personalised development plan to help you gain the added skills and experience which will enable you to apply for promotion to grade 7 in due course.
