International Student Advisor (SAAS16-26)

We are seeking to appoint an International Student Advisor to provide a high quality specialist immigration advice, guidance and support to international students at Staffordshire University.  This post is temporary to cover a period of maternity leave.

You will be required to provide a one to one confidential service to students and will be responsible for managing all immigration related matters and administration with minimum supervision.  You will be required to keep accurate case notes and student records relating to the student lifecycle.

Ideally, you will have an understanding of Home Office immigration requirements, in particular knowledge or understanding of Tier 4, including matters of compliance in order to provide relevant advice, guidance and support to students

You should have excellent presentation, interpersonal and IT skills and a positive, enthusiastic and creative approach to your work.  You will need to be able to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise as appropriate.  You should also be culturally aware and sensitive and have a real interest in making a positive difference to the experience of international and EU students in the UK.
