Join the team at our vibrant city campus and play an important and active role in our teaching team within the Fashion, Textiles and 3D Design and Craft Subject group. This part time role (0.4FTE) will contribute to teaching Historical and Critical Studies across levels and courses, including; BA(Hons) Fashion Design with Business Studies, BA(Hons) Fashion Communication with Business Studies, and BA (Hons) Textiles Design with Business Studies. You will work with existing colleagues to realise a collective vision that will take the subject forward in its next iteration.

To be effective in this role you will need:

A degree in a subject related to the study of Fashion, Textiles, Fashion Communication or relevant associated subjects.In-depth knowledge and awareness of a broad range of historical, contemporary and societal issues and cultural perspectives applicable to fashion and textiles design, production, promotion and consumption.Teaching experience at undergraduate level supporting the development of students’ critical, contextual and theoretical thinking within the subject (Fashion and Textiles).Evidence of scholarship, research/professional activities to support teaching and learning.

We are particularly keen to appoint experienced lecturers who have a Postgraduate qualification, PhD or equivalent professional experience, and with experience of leading and developing modules/courses. You will join the School of Art and Media – Subject Group of Fashion, Textiles and 3D Design and Craft, based at our City Campus on Grand Parade, a hub for the University’s creative courses, ground-breaking exhibitions and international research.
