This is a part-time, permanent position. 22.50 hours per week (07.00 am to 11.30 am Monday to Friday). 

Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) is located on a beautifully green and pleasant campus just a few minutes’ walk from Lincoln Cathedral, Castle, and the old Roman city. Our story began in the 1860s as an Anglican teacher training college for women, which makes us one of the oldest Higher Education Institutions in the UK. Since then, we've grown, adapted, and modernised to become the thriving university we are today. We're still experts in teaching and education, but we've now got a wider portfolio of exciting degree courses than ever before. We currently offer causes in a wide range of subjects, from Undergraduate Degree level to PhD, and much more in between. 

We are looking for a self-motivated and personable individual who has a real passion for delivering housekeeping services to the highest standard.

You will be part of a dedicated team of Housekeepers delivering cleaning services to the academic, administrative, and residential estate. This position entails providing both planned and reactive housekeeping service across the building areas and supporting the team with covering holidays, sickness, deep cleaning, when and as required.  

You must have the ability to undertake domestic cleaning to a high standard with good communication skills, a positive attitude to delivering good customer service and a flexible approach to work. You will ideally have an understanding of any Health and Safety information and guidance, in order to carry out the safe use of chemical and equipment, however this is not essential as training will be provided.

The residences are mainly used by students, but during summer it is also used by external customers so there is an expectation to work weekends on a rota basis during summer. You will work 5 days out of 7 and have days off during the week when you are required to work at weekends.
