These posts are an opportunity to join an already busy, thriving unit during an exciting growth and expansion period. The unit designs and conducts high quality national and international multicentre trials across a range of health topics collaborating with clinicians and academics within the University and local NHS trust.

The unit is seeking to recruit three Trial Coordinators to work within our multidisciplinary team and support the successful delivery of high quality trials. The successful candidates will work on one or more projects working closely with the trial manager or senior trial manager throughout all aspects of trial set-up, recruitment, close-out, analysis and reporting. This will include working closely with the Chief Investigator, liaising with and training site staff, working with the relevant research networks, and performing site monitoring visits as well as maintaining study progress documentation.

Candidates should have experience of working in a research environment, expert in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, whilst proficient in other Microsoft packages. They should have good written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer focus and be able to demonstrate planning and organisational skills.

These are full-time posts (36.25 hours per week); preferably, however, applications are invited from candidates wanting to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please indicate on your application if you wish to be considered for this role on a part-time basis. The role will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of one year. 

Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.

These roles can either be fully office-based or open to a hybrid working model with a blended approach of home and office working. Typically, you will work a minimum of 2–3 days (pro-rata) per week on campus.
