Symplectic geometry originated in classical mechanics, and subsequently evolved into a mathematical abstraction thereof. This field currently plays indispensable roles in pure and applied mathematics, mathematical physics, and engineering. This workshop will showcase some of the modern advancements in symplectic geometry.
Topics: Symplectic quotients and related constructions; Classification problems in equivariant symplectic geometry and topology; Geometric quantization
