Quantum systems based on atoms and photons are among the most promising platforms for advancing quantum technologies. From quantum simulation of many-body systems to the realization of quantum networks and processors, these platforms enable high levels of control, scalability, and coherence. This bi-national Israel-Germany workshop will focus on recent advances in these fields, from experimental platforms of cold atoms and ions, cavity and waveguide QED, and integrated photonic systems, to fundamental and theoretical quantum information, computing, and simulations. The workshop also seeks to connect academic advances with applicative innovation activities, relying on the strong national quantum initiatives and large startup ecosystems in both Germany and Israel.
