EMBL Course: Design Thinking: Approaches for Chronic Disease Management

This workshop will bring together 30 young professionals and students to learn and apply state-of-the-art design thinking techniques. Over the course of three days small interdisciplinary teams will co-create innovative healthcare solutions for chronic disease management. Each team will take on a specific pre-defined challenge from the fields of precision health and data driven medicine. Engaging keynote speakers and experienced mentors will guide participants through the process of ideation, prototyping and business planning. Apart from learning new design thinking skills, participants will also have the opportunity to build networks with their peers as well as professionals with diverse backgrounds. The event will be co-delivered by the EMBL-Stanford Life Science Alliance, Roche Diabetes Care and EIT Health.
