The 7th annual IEC 61850 Global 2020 conference will draw together 150+ leading specialists for 5 days of IEC 61850 implementation reviews. This end-user focused event will showcase 20+ utility implementations of the standard within the substation, across the wider smart grid, and across DER infrastructure. The event will kick off with a one-day workshop on the Fundamentals of IEC 61850 delivered by Christoph Brunner, President of it4power and Convenor of TC57 WG10. The next three days will deliver a series of utility case-studies, with the fifth and final day deep diving into the application of IEC 61850 in the DER domain. Alongside the main conference is a 3-day exhibition displaying 20+ suppliers of the most advanced IEC 61850 enabled tools and technologies, as well as a number of Live Demo Labs providing the opportunity to get hands on with the most innovative solutions. Facilitated networking sessions take place throughout the conference and most notably during the tech innovation panel discussions, the end-user focused roundtable sessions, and the networking evening reception open to all participants.
