Metabolomics is the comprehensive study of the metabolome, the repertoire of metabolites present in cells, tissues, and body fluids. More recently, these metabolites are being implicated in the promotion of human health. The human metabolic profile is influenced by a number of factors including diet, genetics, environmental factors and the microbiome. Understanding the influence of these factors at a cellular and systemic level is key to deciphering the role of metabolites in human health and promotion of lifespan. In this Gordon Conference series, we highlight state of the art metabolomics technologies and how such technologies can be used to study Human health. The conference will cover exciting new applications in the field such as Precision Nutrition, Human Ageing, response to Therapies (Precision Medicine), Exposome and Human Health.
Topics: Examining the Intersection Between Systemic and Cellular Metabolism and Lifestyle Factors to Understand Health and Disease
