The goal of the Conference is for the participants to discuss the latest research results in data-driven science (such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, image processing, data mining, etc.) applied to plasma science and technologies, including, but not limited to, plasma processing and nuclear fusion. Thanks to the recent advancement of sophisticated diagnostics techniques and first-principle computer simulations, the amount of data that one accumulates in research is increasing exponentially. Plasma scientists should take full advantage of, and may even contribute to, the latest development of data-driven science and find a way to extract essential information efficiently from such data.
