An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at University of Southampton’sâ¯outstanding Southampton Sport Teamâ¯as a⯠- Sport Operations Assistant.

 We have aâ¯several locationsâ¯includingâ¯the newly extended flag ship site, Jubilee Sport & Recreation Centre; Housing a state of the art Gym, climbing wall, pool and squash and studio space. As part of the wider offering we have Mayflower Gym, Wide Lane Sports ground and the Watersports Centre, which are open toâ¯students, staff and members of the wider community.

University of Southampton is investing more than⯣40million in our sports facilities, we offerâ¯an extensive range of sport,â¯leisure classesâ¯andâ¯coursesâ¯thatâ¯are available to our customers from 07:00 to 22:00 every day of the week.â¯Weâ¯requireâ¯sports professionals to provide a consistently high-quality sports and leisure service to our customers all year round.

The role

As aâ¯Operations assistant you will be part of a highly motivated and organised Southampton Sport Team responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient daily operation of the facilities. Based at our Wide lane Sports ground. The role is â¯primarilyâ¯responsible for the smooth running of the facility, but will also deal with customer queries,â¯preparing equipment, ensuring health and safety procedures are being following,â¯and being an ambassador for active lifestylesâ¯at the University of Southampton.

We encourage applications for a full time or part time roles.â¯You will be working set hour working patterns,â¯full time is equivalent toâ¯36 hours a week averaged over a number of weeks.

What we can offer you

With aâ¯competitiveâ¯starting salary of £24,600â¯per annum, there is an additional 10% uplift shift allowance.
