Applications are invited for a Senior Research Technician to work on the Innovate UK-funded Bio-Phage UK project, based at the University of Nottingham’s Sutton Bonington Campus. This exciting role offers the chance to contribute to pioneering research that addresses some of the most pressing sustainability challenges facing agriculture today.

As a Senior Research Technician, you will support the delivery of a major Innovate UK project focussing on greenhouse gas emissions monitoring and mitigation from UK-based field trials. You will work with leading researchers, industry partners, and farmers, playing a central role in data collection on real-world farms, to provide evidence to bridge the gap between research and practice, helping to accelerate the transition towards more resilient, productive, and environmentally responsible farming systems.

You will collaborate closely with researchers from across the University of Nottingham’s Centre for Sustainable Agricultural Systems and the Food Systems Institute, bringing together interdisciplinary expertise to deliver impactful solutions across the agri-food chain.

A key part of the role will on-farm emissions monitoring, and supporting a large-scale glasshouse trial, alongside extensive opportunity for building strong connections with industry stakeholders.
