تفاصيل :

The University of Hull has recently made a significant investment in Mathematics and the section is rapidly expanding. The University has also created a high-performance computing facility (VIPER), ensuring the University has international competitive computing power.  The mathematics section is in the newly formed School of Mathematics and Physical Sciences which includes Physics and Chemistry.  A new, revitalised, undergraduate curriculum was introduced for mathematics from 2016. To support our excellent delivery of learning and teaching we are seeking to recruit a Teaching Fellow in Mathematics and Statistics.

The successful applicant will be required to contribute to teaching in the areas of  mathematics and statistics. They will have good communications skills and be enthusiastic to teach students with a wide range of abilities.  Duties will include contributing, convening and delivering both new and existing courses, tutorials, workshops, academic support and some academic administration.

We are currently applying an Athena SWAN Bronze Award for the newly formed School by expanding the action plan for the Bronze Award obtained by the Chemistry section as we are committed to equality and diversity. Applications are particularly welcome from women and minority groups, who are under-represented in academic posts in STEMM.

Candidates are requested to upload a CV and covering letter.  Please specify in your application if you are seeking a Band 7 or Band 8 appointment.

Informal enquiries may be made to Professor Gillian Greenway, Head of School, 01482 466355, G.M.Greenway@hull.ac.uk .
