Senior Laboratory Technician (CT5440)

The Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering requires a highly skilled, adaptable and self-motivated Laboratory Technician to provide technical support in its Civil Engineering laboratories.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing technical advice and support to academic staff, researchers and undergraduate students in the fields of concrete, soils and innovative and sustainable construction materials. They will also be responsible for supporting undergraduate teaching through the preparation and instruction of laboratory classes.

The Department is particularly looking to appoint a candidate who can support its instrumentation requirements, and as such is keen to hear from applicants who have knowledge and experience in the field of electronics and data acquisition.

Applicants should ideally possess a Degree or equivalent experience in an engineering or science subject and already have experience in working in a laboratory environment.

This post is offered on an open ended contract with a commencing salary of £25,728 rising to £31,604 through annual increments.
