Cleanroom Processing Engineer (935317FP-R)

The Mountbatten Institute houses a state of the art Cleanroom facility aimed at delivering world class nanofabrication and photonic based research. To assist in the optimal running of the facility, a position has arisen for an engineer to run and manage our state of the art electron beam lithography equipment based within the Cleanroom complex.

The position requires an enthusiastic, well organised person who is self-motivated and able to work with the minimum of supervision. You will be an experienced engineer, or recent graduate ideally with expert-level user experience in operation of high performance electron beam lithography equipment such as Jeol or Viste systems. You will be fast learning, highly computer literate, and adept at computer scripting. Knowledge of proximity correction methodologies and software, such as ‘Genysis Beamer’ will be highly beneficial.

The role requires detailed understanding of semiconductor processing requirements, such as processes and process flows. Wider experience of cleanroom processing is highly beneficial to the post.

You will be educated to Degree or PhD level in an engineering discipline, preferably electronic engineering, or Physics.
