A full-time vacancy, fixed-term initially for 3 years, has arisen within the University’s Payroll team within our Human Resources function. The main duties of the post include assisting in maintaining the Lancaster University and external customer payroll systems, processing the monthly payroll in an accurate and timely manner. 

You would be expected to deal with members of staff, pension providers and other third parties as required, professionally, confidentially and in line with our service standards.

You will hold a relevant payroll qualification, or be supported to achieve one within the first 2 years of appointment.

You will need excellent organisational and communication skills, a courteous and professional manner together with an enthusiasm for working in a busy, but friendly team environment within the Human Resources Division. 

You will be expected to have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work to a high degree of accuracy. An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems is essential.
