Assistant Professor in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (UNIM118)

Applications are invited for the academic post of Assistant Professor within the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. 

Candidates should have a PhD in a field related to electrical or mechatronics engineering, especially power electronics, electrical machines, and/or mechatronic engineering. Applicants with unrelated teaching or research field will not be considered. Post-doctoral academic or industrial experiences are desirable but not necessary. The successful candidate will contribute to the department in terms of teaching (postgraduate and undergraduate levels) and administrative work. They will also be expected to apply for and obtain external funding to enable development of new and independent research. Good communication and organisation skills are required. The contract will be held with The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, and for international candidates, is subject to the successful candidate obtaining the appropriate work permit from the Malaysian Department of Immigration. Additional benefits and relocation packages are available for international candidates. The successful candidate is expected to commence post in September 2018.
