Science Foundation Year Technician
The creation of the new Foundation Studies Centre - Science, is a milestone in the development of the University of Lincoln and is based within the College of Science. The Centre provides Foundation Year programmes (Year 0), in preparation for students to transition onto the major degree programmes offered by the College, within the Schools of Chemistry, Engineering, Life Sciences, Mathematics and Physics, and Pharmacy.
Consequently, Science Foundation Year operates across the Isaac Newton Building, Joseph Bank Laboratories and Minster House which house research and training facilities for the Schools, in addition to extensively enhanced teaching laboratories in the purpose built Janet Lane-Claypon Building.
Due to the popularity of the Science Foundation Year, we are seeking an individual with appropriate specialist technical skills to work alongside a multifunctional team that maintains facilities and provides high quality support for teaching and practical’s across a range of taught courses.
You will be dynamic and adaptable with a 'can do' approach. You will demonstrate a dedication to working alongside multidisciplinary teams and an enthusiasm for success, working flexibly across the schools as appropriate. Where applicable training in specific techniques and processes will form part of your personal development plan.
