تفاصيل :

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Research Associate to work in the research group of Dr James Cuthbertson (School of Chemistry). Working closely with collaborators in the School of Chemistry (Prof. Hon Lam), and the School of Pharmacy (Prof. Barrie Kellam and Dr Shailesh Mistry), this project is aimed at the synthesis of novel modulators of G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) function through the late-stage functionalisation of peptides. Candidates should have (or will soon obtain) a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry and have an outstanding track record in the development of new synthetic methodology or target synthesis. Experience in transition metal catalysis or C–H activation chemistry would also be highly desirable.

This full-time position is available from 1st December 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter, and is offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 6 months.

The School of Chemistry values diversity and is committed to equality of opportunity. The School holds a Silver Athena SWAN Award in recognition of our commitment to advancing women's careers in science. You can read more about this at www.athenaswan.org.uk and on our website www.nottingham.ac.uk/chemistry/about/athena-swan

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Dr James Cuthbertson (James.Cuthbertson@nottingham.ac.uk). Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
