تفاصيل :

The Department of Computer Science and Technology at Hull is growing as the University improves and invests heavily in infrastructure and facilities. The Department of Computer Science and Technology is now one of the largest in the University. Computer Science and Technology is playing a pivotal role in the transformation of the University, with investment in the development of new programmes such as Mechatronics and Robotics and Cyber security, together with the creation of innovative new research labs and teaching spaces.

To support this growth, we are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Robotics Lecturer to join the academic team in delivering the BEng/MEng Mechatronics and Robotics programmes in addition to supporting and developing research in this area.

An existing or emerging research track record in Robotics is essential, as is a commitment to high quality teaching. Duties will include a combination of research, teaching, academic support and scholarship. Experience in the use of virtual learning environments and willingness to explore innovative and non-traditional teaching methods are welcomed.

Candidates are requested to provide within their covering letter and CV a coherent research plan including funding strategy, publication plan and research agenda for the next five years. Please indicate in your covering letter which band you wish to apply for and ensure you refer to the criteria required.

This position is being jointly advertised with post number FS0424 Lecturer in Computer Science (Robotics) Band 8. To apply for this post, please follow the link: http://jobs.hull.ac.uk/FS0424

This post is a Band 7 entry level grade whereas band 8 requires a track record in teaching and obtaining research funds.

Informal enquiries may be made to Professor John Murray, Head of Computer Science and Technology, by emailing John.Murray@hull.ac.uk.

We are committed to family-friendly and flexible working policies on an individual basis, and follow the Athena SWAN Charter, which recognises and celebrates good employment practice undertaken to address gender equality in higher education and research.
