Research Administrative Assistant (Part time, Fixed term) (ENG239619)

Applications are invited for the above post to work in the Faculty of Engineering, Centre for Additive Manufacturing (CfAM). 

The Centre for Additive Manufacturing is a large interdisciplinary group active in the area of Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing. Comprising of around 100 academics, post-doctoral researchers and PhD students, it is one of the largest research centres for additive manufacturing and 3D printing worldwide. 

The successful candidate will join CfAM providing professional administrative support to the team members.  

Duties will involve carrying out a range of group related administration activities, including arranging meetings and events, taking minutes, dealing with emails, telephone enquiries and general office based tasks.

Candidates should have experience in a relevant role, they should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enthusiasm and confidentiality, exceptional organisational skills, ability to work on their own initiative and effectively prioritise their own workload.   

Excellent IT skills are essential (MS Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook), experience of other web based software would also be an advantage.

This part time post is available immediately and is offered on a fixed term contract for 12 months. Hours of work are 20- 25 hours per week and applicants should specify in their application the preferred number of hours.
