Learning Technology Systems Manager (034619-R-R-R-R)

The Department of Technology Enhanced Learning supports and promotes the innovative use of educational technology across the disciplines. We support course teams to design student centred and enriching teaching and learning environments with an emphasis on practice-based learning. We encourage the use of digital resources to facilitate and enrich learning and develop digital literacy.

The Department also supports the technologies underpinning innovative and excellent teaching and learning. The installation of the BrightSpace virtual learning environment is highly regarded by students and staff and the use of capture technologies for recording live sessions and pre-recording content is growing rapidly. 

The Learning Technology Systems Manager sits alongside our learning technologists in the Department to ensure our technical and pedagogic developments are well aligned. Working closely with colleagues in IT Services, the Learning Technology Systems Manager is responsible for the technical system development and the support processes for learning technologies across the University, including the virtual learning environment, classroom polling, digital assessment, content capture and virtual classrooms.

The Learning Technology Systems Manager will oversee improvements that impact positively on the enhancement of the student learning experience and the staff teaching experience. We are looking for someone with enterprise level systems development expertise who can manage the configuration and maintenance of the virtual learning environment and associated systems.
