Head of Teaching and Academic Technologies (072719)

This is senior leadership role responsible for the strategic development of teaching and academic technology solutions including, but not limited to Worktribe/CRIS for Research & Innovation, UNCLE and Inteum for research contract and IP management, Panopto for lecture capture, ePrints as well as working with our Library and TEL departments on Alma, Primo, Esploro, and DesireLearn.

You will be a knowledgeable, visible and approachable senior champion of our teaching and academic technology solutions, responsible for developing and implementing long-term strategies to develop, deliver and support our teaching and academic support systems.

You will develop positive relationships with key internal stakeholders and suppliers, as well as draw upon a broad network of professional contacts within (and sometimes outside) the sector.  This will develop your knowledge of systems operated outside the University and what these could mean for improved services at Surrey.

The role will project manage the evolution of our technology choices, standardisation and refreshes and will have budgetary authority to manage and deliver service provision in their area, ensuring that costs are within budget and that value for money is achieved.
