Head of Governance Services (A2792-R)

The Division of Strategic Planning and Governance is a small, dynamic team that provides support and advice to the University’s senior management in relation to strategy, planning, governance and external compliance.  

We are currently looking for a talented governance professional to head our Governance Services section as one of two senior reports to the Director of Strategic Planning and Governance.  

This is a broad and influential role working directly with Senior Officers of the University and Council members. In leading both the Governance and Information Governance functions, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support for the formal decision-making processes of the University. This includes the provision of a modern committee servicing function which reflects best practice in the sector and an information governance service in compliance with the relevant freedom of information and data protection legislation. The Head also supports the Director by providing advice on the legal and compliance requirements and the implementation of good governance guidance across the University.

You will possess well-developed administrative, analytical and organisation skills in addition to proven leadership and team-working skills at a senior level, including the ability to work with and through others, set and achieve high standards and support and inspire others to develop and excel. 

This is a full time, indefinite role.
