About You 

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly Registered professional with either NMC or HCPC registration, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established and promising research profile or a commitment to developing research capability is essential. A professional background in either nursing, Operating Department Practice (ODP) or paramedic practice with supporting qualifications and experiences is also essential. Teaching experience on undergraduate health professions programmes of education is highly desirable, although support will be provided to successful candidates to gain a recognised post-graduate teaching qualification; an academic career enhancing requirement. 

About the Role

You will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our health professions programmes, contributing to the delivery of relevant modules and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience. Clinical skills teaching and supporting learning in practice will be core elements of this post. You will be expected to contribute to the research profile of the department through the activities of one of our Research Units, and to meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework.
