Business Development Officer (Fixed-Term) (FIX-401-2020)

In response to the comprehensive apprenticeship reforms over the past few years, Bishop Grosseteste University is developing Awarding UK, a new End Point Assessment Service. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Officer to play a key role within this new area of the University.

You will be responsible for securing agreements with training providers and employers across England for the delivery of End Point Assessments (EPAs). This will require high level negotiation skills and the ability to forge long term business to business relationships. You will also support the recruitment of Independent End Point Assessor (IEPA) and Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) team members.  

To be successful in the role you will have a drive and determination to build sustainable networks and business relationships across a range of sectors. You will be innovative, creative and dynamic, with excellent communication and resource management skills. You will be an experienced B2B sales professional, and a background of working in work-based learning, Further or Higher Education will be a plus.  You will be proactive in developing leads and highly astute at identifying new business opportunities. You will be resilient and flexible, able to deal with complex challenges.

This role is based at the Bishop Grosseteste University campus in Lincoln, although frequent travel across England will be required. Remote working from outside Lincolnshire, with regular visits to campus, will be considered for exceptional candidates.

This is a fixed-term position until 31st July 2021.
