Join a unique British University in China.  The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was the first Sino-foreign university to open its doors in China. This award winning campus offering a UK style education has grown to establish a student body of over 8,000 in just 16 years.

The University of Nottingham Ningbo, China, a pioneer in Sino-foreign tertiary education, is rapidly expanding.  It is looking for ambitious, talented academics with a passion for teaching as well as research flair to join its team of science and engineering experts. UNNC is part of the University of Nottingham’s Global University, and offers unique teaching and research opportunities in a highly dynamic economy.

The primary purpose of the role will be to undertake teaching and provide advice as a member of a teaching team within the School of International Studies for the fall semester of 2020-21.   The successful candidate will have a PhD in International Relations or Politics, or be a PhD student in such disciplines.  Some degree of international relations/political science expertise/training is needed, and knowledge of comparative politics, IPE and European politics/policy is an advantage, though training specific to the subjects at hand can be provided.  The role holder will teach seminars under the leadership of offsite module convenors who cover the lectures for the following courses (modules): Introduction to Comparative Politics, International Political Economy, and EU Policies and Law, plus seminar contributions to undergraduate Methods and post-graduate Core Concepts modules.  

Salary will be within the range of RMB 323,198 to RMB 440,485 per annum depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance). 

The post will initially be offered on a fixed term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of one semester (fall 2020) starting 1 September 2020 ideally. This contract may be extended to spring semester depending on the needs of the School and by mutual agreement.
