Project and Portfolio Officer-SDIP (RIIS20-01)

As part of our regional role as an anchor institution, Staffordshire University has secured funding from European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to lead and deliver the Staffordshire Digital Innovation Partnership programme.  

The Staffordshire Digital Innovation Partnerships programme is a collaborative project between Staffordshire University and Staffordshire County Council to drive innovation through digital transformation in the region. The programme offers 36 collaborative partnerships which will incentivise and support Staffordshire SMEs to improve processes and support the development of new to market products and services through the use of innovative digital technologies.

This 3 year programme is set to conclude in March 2022 however we hope to extend this programme and continue into 2023.

We are looking for a Project and Portfolio Officer with experience of European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) projects to support the Staffordshire Digital Innovation Partnerships programme.  The role holder will ensure that realistic project plans are developed and maintained and that regular and accurate communication is provided to the project lead, partners and stakeholders; identify, assess and manage risks to ensure the successful delivery of projects and take appropriate action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances; ensure that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets and lead, co-ordinate and manage project activities, ensure compliance and meeting of the outputs profile and KPIs.

The Project and Portfolio Officer will work closely with and support the SDIPs Programme Manager. 

This role is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2014 - 2020.
