Professor of Practice in Entrepreneurial Engineering (Part Time) (CF10405)

The Faculty of Engineering & Design is intending to make an exciting leadership appointment. We seek a dynamic Professor of Practice in Entrepreneurial Engineering to lead education in entrepreneurship to our engineering and architecture students. You will have a strong professional reputation in entrepreneurship related to engineering and/or architecture, with a track record to underpin being an outstanding educator in this field.

The Faculty of Engineering & Design presently has Royal Academy of Engineering funding to embed entrepreneurial opportunities in our undergraduate degree programmes in engineering and architecture to ensure that all avenues are open to our students on graduation, including those who might otherwise possibly feel disenfranchised from regular engineering or architectural practice. In this new, permanent role as Professor of Practice in Entrepreneurial Engineering you will play a key role in furthering this promising start. You will facilitate exposure to non-traditional career pathway opportunities, in doing so making a major contribution to the Faculty’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda. As a Professor of Practice in a teaching only capacity, you will be expected to raise the profile of this initiative through engagement with industry.  

This is a permanent, 0.5FTE role.  

The Faculty of Engineering and Design at the University of Bath hosts four departments: Architecture & Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronic & Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. You will join one of these departments, according to best fit. All are ranked in the top 10 in national league tables.
