Director of Business Planning and Resources (DTIB33-24)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director of Business, Planning and Resources within the School of Digital, Technology, Innovation and Business at Staffordshire University. In this role will, you will provide leadership and operational management for business, planning and resourcing activities across the School, contributing to the delivery of corporate objectives as determined by the University’s Strategic Plan and Strategic Priorities, as well as ensuring School objectives are met in accordance with the School Business Plan. You will work pro-actively as part of the School Senior Management Team, and in conjunction with the University’s Business Partners, to develop and manage plans around Student number planning, the efficient use of resources, and to ensure administrative and technical resource is in place to support the work of the School. You will also play a key role in managing and providing inspirational leadership to the School as part of the School Management Team, ensuring a healthy, safe, vibrant and engaged culture with an enhanced capability to increase the pace and implementation of change.

In this role you will support the Executive Dean with operational leadership of Health & Safety and Risk Management.  

With significant experience of strategic, business and resource planning in a large complex organisation and a track record of working successfully with key stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives, you will be a skilled influencer with experience of leading cross-functional teams at a senior level and will have proven experience of championing and successfully leading change. To be successful in this role, you should also have experience of developing and managing budgets and monitoring performance against these as well as previous experience of working within regulations, ensuring compliance and minimising risk. 

Previous experience of supporting the successful bidding for projects and contracts would be advantageous.
